Privacy Policy — DFA Connect Feedback

Who we are

DFA Solutions (“we”) provides Connect, a work-management platform, and this Chrome extension so authorized users can leave website feedback for Connect projects. Contact: team@dfasolutions.ca.

What the extension does

The extension shows a floating control on web pages you visit so you can mark a location, describe an issue or suggestion, optionally attach a screenshot, and send that feedback to your organization’s Connect account. It is intended only for users who have been granted access by a Connect administrator.

Data we collect

When you use the extension, the following may be sent to https://connect.dfasolutions.ca:

• Account email — used to sign in (no password is collected by the extension).
• Feedback content — subject, description, category, priority, status, and optional location label you enter.
• Page URL — the address of the page where feedback was left.
• Screenshot — an image of the visible browser tab (or a replacement image you upload), only when you start a feedback submission and confirm it contains no sensitive content.
• Session token — stored locally in the browser (chrome.storage.local) so you stay signed in.
• UI preferences — such as pill position and last selected project, stored locally.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use the extension to sell advertising or to build profiles for unrelated marketing.

How screenshots are handled

Screenshots are captured only when you begin a new feedback item (or when you choose a replacement image). You must confirm the image does not contain PHI, passwords, or other confidential data before submit. Screenshots are stored with the feedback ticket in Connect for your project team.

Permissions

The extension requests access to tabs and pages so it can show the feedback control on websites you choose to use it on, read the current page URL for the ticket, and capture a visible-tab screenshot when you submit feedback. It communicates only with Connect’s API for authentication and feedback.

Data retention and access

Feedback and related screenshots are retained according to your organization’s Connect data practices and project configuration. You may request deletion of your Connect user account or specific tickets by contacting your Connect administrator or team@dfasolutions.ca.

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for business use.

Changes

We may update this policy when the extension or Connect practices change. The “Last updated” date above will be revised accordingly. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
